About Me
I love science, creativity and problem solving! Not surprisingly, these are passions that align perfectly with the task of helping families and children succeed. I have yet to encounter two kids who have exactly the same needs, so having an in-depth and nuanced understanding of child development is essential.

From my beginnings as a behavioral therapist, to recent years devoted to educating children with language-based learning disorders, my dedication to serving families and children spans decades.
My career began in Philadelphia, where I earned a Masters in Social Work and jumped into the field of behavioral support and wrap-around care for neurodivergent children. From there, I moved to Manhattan and continued supporting families as a Social Worker and Outreach Coordinator for one of New York City's oldest and most highly-respected family service agencies. After moving to Colorado in 2009, I completed an Elementary Education Teaching Program with a Certification in Special Education. In 2012, I was fortunate enough to join the talented teaching staff at Hillside School, providing specialized instruction to children with dyslexia as a Learning Specialist.

While teaching in my classroom, I became acutely aware of the need for behavioral and attentional support for many of my students. I started Novel Educational Therapy in 2017 as a way to combine my expertise in teaching children with dyslexia with my passion for helping families navigate life with children diagnosed with ADHD and other neurobehavioral challenges. In 2022, I trained extensively to become a Certified ADHD Parent Coach. I've also trained with Dr. Ross Greene in the Collaborative and Proactive Solutions model and plan to become a certified provider of CPS through the organization Lives In The Balance.
I'm the mom of two amazing kids who inspired and motivated me to learn everything I could about creating a loving and nurturing environment for kids with ADHD. My family and I are truly lucky to have lived for 13 years in beautiful Boulder, Colorado.
